Book Review # 14: Uprooted

Welcome to our fourteenth episode of our video podcast the Izzie & Coco Book Review Show. In this episode we talk about Uprooted by Naomi Novik. Uprooted is a fantasy novel about a kingdom bordered by a magic and malevolent forest that is inhabited by corrupted creatures. The kingdom is protected from the woods by a powerful wizard called the Dragon. However, that protection has a price. A girl must be given to the Dragon every ten years from one of the villages. This time around, Agnieszka has been chosen; but Agnieszka is not a regular girl. She has a natural affinity to magic and will help the Dragon fight the woods in the last battle for the Kingdom. This is a slow paced book but we really liked it and recommend it with a YAY! Let us know what you thought! Remember to leave us a comment, we love hearing from our readers/viewers. If you found a book you love because of our recommendations or share an absolute love or hate for a book, tell us! For any comments or questions please email us at books(at)

Our next selection is the book: Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen. We will be posting our review soon!
