Book Review #24: Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo + Fierce Reads Tour

4 out of 5 stars!

I’m not usually a fan of books written in different points of view and Six of Crows happens to be written in 6. And I loved it. I loved all the characters and their voices in the book. Leigh Bardugo did a great job of creating amazing and well developed characters. She took great care with creating all their backstories. The transition between the different voices was seamless. The book has a great storyline that gripped me from the start. My new favorite couple is now Kaz + Inej <3 I can see why this book was compared to Ocean’s 11 but it doesn’t do it justice. Six of Crows is dark and gritty. The main character, Kaz, is a fearless and crafty mastermind leading a ragtag team of thieves on an impossible heist. Kaz is always 2 stops ahead of his enemy and always has a trick up his sleeve. But my favorite character is Inej, his loyal and stealthy spy that can climb anything and sneak up on anyone. I really like how the female characters are portrayed in this book: self-reliant, smart and brave. My only gripe with this book is the cliff hanger ending. I didn’t like where the story ended, I just wished it had been wrapped up. I still loved it and can’t wait to meet the author at Books & Books on October 12.

Fierce Reads Tour at Books & Books on Oct. 12, 7 p.m. at Coral Gables. I’ll be there! Can’t wait to meet more Leigh Bardugo fans 🙂

Also, if you aren’t able to attend the event you can follow along with their livestream here.

Happy reading!
