Book Review # 9: How to Build a Girl

Welcome to our ninth episode of our video podcast the Izzie & Coco Book Review Show. In this episode we talk about How to Build a Girl by Caitlin Moran. This is a moving coming-of-age story of a girl growing up in a small town in England. We fell in love with the quirky main character, Joanna, as she battled her raging hormones and insecurities. Joanna’s over the top personality and life motto “fake it til you make it” leads to the creation of her alter ego Olivia Wilde – a reviewer working in a rock magazine. This is book is definitely worth your time! We highly recommend it if you are into British bands of the early 2000s or like great stories. Let us know what you thought! Remember to leave us a comment, we love hearing from our readers/viewers. If you found a book you love because of our recommendations or share an absolute love or hate for a book, tell us! Our next book selection is The She-Hulk Diaries by Marta Acosta. We will be posting our review soon!
